ConvoJo iOS App

Problem: As a part of the Apple Developer Academy my group and I tasked ourselves with a problem that plagued us and other young professionals starting out their careers. Our Challenge was to build an app that would help our users communicate better or become better conversationalists.

Process: We used a process called Challenged Based learning and created a large Miro Whiteboard to pick our Big Idea, Investigate Guiding Questions and Complete Guiding Activites to synthesize the solution we came up with the iOS app, ConvoJo.

Solution: We built our app using SwiftUI and Swift Data with a JSON file to store our conversation prompts. This was a group project and my role was as our lead coder. I managed our code base and coordinated our GitHub Code Reviews. I also created our Swift Datastore and the app navigation system. I’m currently updating our app with a Badge system that will roll out this month.

Impact: Our app was chosen to represent our cohort in the Apple VIP walkthrough for our end-of-year activities. Our team has met Apple CEO Tim Cook and has garnered interest from higher learner educators to utilize our app with their program.
